MEET JEVONA FUDGE

Your Candidate for Macomb County Probate Judge

Meet Jevona C. Fudge, an experienced attorney with a diverse background in law, education and social relations. Attorney Fudge received her Bachelor's degree in Social Relations from James Madison College at Michigan State University as well as a degree in Secondary Education. In 2004, Attorney Fudge earned her Juris Doctor from Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University.

After becoming a member of the State Bar of Michigan, she began working as a Civil Law Attorney with Legal Aid and Defender Association-Macomb. In this role, Jevona Fudge specialized in probate court proceedings, administrative law hearings, landlord-tenant disputes, debt collections cases, tax issues and family law matters assisting low-income clients.

Building upon that experience, in 2012 she joined the Macomb County Friend of the Court as a Judicial Service Officer. Here, she focused on child support, parenting time, and custody issues and enforcement of court orders entered by the 16th Circuit Court Family Division.

Currently, Jevona is making an impact as Deputy Chief/Assistant Prosecutor in the Cooperative Reimbursement Unit.  Her commitment to equal access to justice, diversity, collaborative and accountable parenting is unwavering.

Deputy Chief Fudge has worked on both sides of the justice system and uses this insight to advocate for and effectuate change for the underserved and vulnerable.

In addition to practicing law, Jevona is a small business owner.   In 2014, she began investing in her neighborhood, opened a coffee shop and has used her business to uplift the community. In 2023, Jevona Fudge was awarded the prestigious Spirit of Detroit Award for her service to the community.

Commitment to her family, community and service to others in the legal and business communities have consistently remained of the utmost priority.

Proudly, she currently sits on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid & Defender Association, which is a non profit organization providing holistic, innovative legal services to improve the quality of life and empower vulnerable and underserved individuals, families and communities.

Throughout her career, she has represented clients and government agencies using the knowledge, skills, patience and ethical foundation necessary to handle diverse, high volume, high conflict and fact specific legal matters. Her time management, case handling, decision-making, conflict resolution and communication skills that she has been able to hone in 19 years of practicing law make her a standout attorney in Macomb County.

Jevona Fudge's extensive legal background, years of public service and experiences make her well suited for Macomb County's next Probate Court Judge.  Her attention to detail, ability to analyze sensitive cases with compassion and integrity, timely manage court proceedings, and consistently apply legal principles would be an asset to the already effective and hard working Macomb County Probate Court.
